Two men who left a man critically injured after a fail-to-stop collision in Bolton have been sentenced.
Mohammed Usman Bhatti, 32 and from Bolton, was sentenced to three years and six months for dangerous driving causing serious injury, failing to stop after a collision, failing to report a collision, and perverting the course of justice.
Nicholas Montgomery, 28 and also from Bolton, was sentenced to one year and three months for dangerous driving causing serious injury.
They both previously pleaded guilty to the charges and they were jailed at Bolton Crown Court.
Shortly before midnight on Saturday 26 November 2016, a 53-year-old man was walking on Bradford Street.
As he was crossing the road, an Audi RS3 and an Audi S3, driving in tandem at motorway speed, were travelling along Bridgeman Place and onto Bradford Street.
As he crossed the road, he was propelled into the air by the Audi RS3, driven by Bhatti, which failed to stop at the scene.
He was taken to hospital with numerous serious injuries.
