A report of a serious sexual assault of a teenager in York is being investigated by West Yorkshire Police.
It is understood that the alleged offence took place in the disabled toilet at a Tesco Extra store, Clifton Moor Centre, Stirling Road, York.
Police say the date of the offence is not known but was possibly on a Saturday afternoon.
The case is being led by West Yorkshire Police as part of a wider investigation. Officers have confirmed that the offence was not reported either to the police or security at the store at the time. The 14-year-old victim however reports she was visibly distraught following the offence and was spoken to at the time by an elderly couple.
