A new street in Baildon is to be named in honour of a legendary Yorkshire cricketer.
The street will be named Brian Close Walk in honour of the former Yorkshire and England captain, who died in September 2015, aged 84.
Brian Close captained Yorkshire to four County Championship titles and was at the time the youngest man to make his test debut for England when he was aged just 18.
The street sign will be unveiled by Brian’s widow, Mrs Vivien Close, on Friday 8 March at 11.00am.
