A Keighley primary school is looking forward to hosting a sporting superstar after their pupils helped to raise thousands of pounds for a charity fund supporting orphans in Pakistan.
Two-time world champion boxer Amir Khan will visit Eastwood Community School this week after the school raised the most money through a charity cake sale appeal run by his foundation.
Six schools in the district took part in Amir Khan Foundation’s Ramadan campaign’s #Cakes4Kids Bradford Challenge.
Each school community was invited to support the appeal by making donations to receive cakes during Ramadan.
All proceeds from the campaign went towards the building of an orphanage in Sohawa, Pakistan.
