West Yorkshire police have confirmed an arrest has been made relating to an incident on Barkerend Road on Sunday evening, whereby a woman was hospitalised following a firearms discharge.
As a result of the incident, police were present at the address throughout Monday, setting up a cordon and carrying out patrols to provide reassurance to the community.
Following initial enquiries, the police understand that the attack was targeted, and a man has since been arrested.
Speaking on the incident, a police spokesperson said: “Police investigating a firearms discharge in Bradford where a woman was injured have made an arrest.
“A 30-year-old man from Huddersfield is currently in custody following the incident, which occurred at an address in Barkerend Road on the evening of Sunday, 29 September.
“The woman is continuing to receive treatment for her injuries in hospital and remains in a stable condition.
“Enquiries are continuing.”
