Police find remains of missing Harrogate woman

Police investigating the disappearance of a woman from North Yorkshire have confirmed that human remains found in Doncaster are those of Susan Howells.

The remains were found last Friday by officers searching private land in Station Road.

Forensic tests have now confirmed that the remains are of the 52-year-old from Harrogate, who was reported missing in August.

    Her family have been informed.

Two men have been charged in connection with her disappearance and have been remanded to appear at Leeds Crown Court later this month.

Dale Tarbox, 39, of Station Road, Doncaster, and Keith Wadsworth, 60, of Dunscroft, Doncaster, each charged with offences relating to the murder of Ms Howells.

Enquiries are continuing to establish how she died, and officers are continuing to search locations in Bradford and Doncaster, with police searches in a street in Little Horton having entered their eleventh day.
