A trio of men forced their way into an elderly man’s home armed with baseball bats in Bury.
Shortly before 8.40pm on Saturday 5 August 2017, police were called to reports of an aggravated burglary on Gatefield Close in Radcliffe.
The offenders forced the front door open and three men armed with baseball bats and wearing balaclavas entered the disabled 75-year-old man’s home.
The elderly man was badly beaten and taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A neighbour who was visiting the elderly man at the time of the robbery was also injured and required hospital treatment.
The offenders fled the scene in a light-coloured Peugeot 206. Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
