Thirty-eight young musicians from across the Bradford district have returned from a successful six-day concert tour of Germany's Harz Mountains.

Thirty-eight members of Bradford Youth Orchestra, aged between 11 and 19, travelled to the Harz Mountains for a six-day tour at the end of the summer term.
The orchestra performed three concerts during its stay, including an outdoor performance and two concerts at indoor venues.
The performances attracted large audiences of local residents and tourists, with the young musicians receiving positive feedback from those attending.
The tour was designed to give members the opportunity to perform in front of new audiences while developing their musical and performance skills, building confidence and experiencing a different culture.
Away from the concert stage, the group took part in activities including a summer bobsleigh ride, a visit to a mining museum and a cable-car journey up a mountain followed by a woodland and treetop walk.
They also had the opportunity to explore some of the towns in Germany's Harz region.
Bradford Youth Orchestra brings together talented young musicians from schools across Bradford and beyond. The group rehearses at Titus Salt School in Shipley on Saturday mornings during term time and performs music ranging from classical works to film scores.
Councillor Sally Birch, Bradford Council's Cabinet Member for Children and Families, described the tour as a "fantastic opportunity" for the musicians to put their skills into practice.
She said being part of an orchestra can also help young people develop confidence, friendships and teamwork alongside their musical abilities.
The orchestra's next performance will be at the Bradford Music & Arts Service Christmas Festival at Bradford Cathedral in December.
Membership is by audition and is open to musicians playing at Grade 5 standard or above.
