A Manchester mosque fire is being treated by firefighters as a suspected arson attack.
The Manchester Nasfat Islamic Centre on Droylsden Road in Newton Heath was left gutted after a fire which broke out at around 11.45pm on Sunday night, 16 July.
Thirty firefighters were called out to tackle the blaze.
A spokesperson from the mosque said it was the third such incident since 2014.
Police and firefighters remained at the scene yesterday and are investigating the incident as ‘suspicious’.
No one was inside the building at the time of the fire.
