A man was locked inside his own home during a burglary in Sale.
Detectives are now appealing to the public for information about the incident, which took place shortly after 2am on Thursday 22 June.
The victim, a 30-year-old man, heard someone downstairs in his Cranleigh Drive property.
He shouted down to the burglar asking him to leave. The thief then threatened to hurt the victim if he didn’t go back upstairs and fled the property via the front door with car keys and the house keys, after locking the homeowner inside.
Officers are asking for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time to get in touch.
