Police have launched an investigation after a man allegedly handed an 11-year-old girl his phone number on a Skipton street.
The schoolgirl was walking home with a friend on Swadford Street at about 3.30pm on Tuesday 19 June when an unknown man approached her.
It is claimed he passed a number to the girl and asked her to call him.
The man is described as black, aged in his 30s, clean shaven, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build and with dark short afro hair, and was wearing dark clothing and a backpack.
