A man was found dead at a bus stop in Stockport.
The man, aged in his 60s, was found unresponsive with a head injury at a bus stop outside the Romiley Arms, Stockport Road, shortly after 11.00pm on Wednesday 14 November.
It is believed that the man left the nearby Friendship Inn pub on Stockport Road a short time earlier to walk to the bus stop.
Greater Manchester Police said there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
Police are appealing for anyone who spoke to the man before he was found, or who has any information, to get in touch.
Detective Inspector Gina Brennand of GMP’s Stockport Division said: “This is a very sad incident and our thoughts remain with the man’s family at this difficult time.
“I would like to stress that this isn’t being treated as suspicious.
“We would like to build a clearer picture of the moments between the man leaving the pub and reaching the bus stop, so we can give his family the answers they deserve.
“We’d like to speak to anyone who perhaps spoke to the man on his way to the bus stop, or has any information to get in touch.
“I would also like to thank the kind passers-by who attempted to resuscitate him and contacted the emergency services.”
