A man has appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court charged with the murder of another man who was found dead in Edmund Road, Coventry on Monday night (26 September).
Harjinder Singh Dhillon, 43, of Hayes Lane, Exhall, was remanded in custody to appear at a further hearing at Birmingham Crown Court on Monday 3 October.
The victim, who has been named as 48-year-old Rajinder Gill from Coventry, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another man who was arrested in connection with the murder has been released without charge.
A post mortem was carried out earlier this week and further tests are on-going to establish the cause of death
