Ilkley’s Cow and Calf has been shortlisted in the Tour de Yorkshire Best Dressed competition.
The competition organised by Welcome to Yorkshire is to reward those places and people who went the extra mile to celebrate the prestigious cycle race coming to their area.
The Best Dressed competition, in partnership with the Yorkshire Post is new for this year and Ilkley has been nominated in the Best Host Dressed Location category.
Voting is taking place online and the deadline is midnight Friday 22 June and once the votes have been counted and verified, Sir Gary Verity and the Editor of the Yorkshire Post James Mitchinson, will present the winners with a commemorative plaque.
Coun Sarah Ferriby, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Environment, Sport and Culture, said: “We are delighted and not surprised that Ilkley’s beautiful Cow and Calf has been shortlisted in the Best Dressed Host Location category in this competition.”
