Police believe gunshots were fired in a house in Huddersfield.
The incident is believed to have taken place in the Ghyll area on Sunday night, 23 July, between 11pm and 12am.
Officers were called on Monday morning by occupants reporting damage to the door of their house which is thought to have been caused the previous evening.
Following examination, it is believed the damage was caused by a firearms discharge.
No-one was injured in the incident and a range of enquiries have been ongoing.
