A gun conspiracy trial was told two cars reached over 100mph as they travelled along the M62 towards Bradford.
Three men are on trial at Leeds Crown Court accused of a firearms conspiracy following a police operation in which Yassar Yaqub was shot dead on the M62 sliproad at junction 24 near Huddersfield on 2 January last year.
The court heard how a police officer had to travel fast to catch up with the vehicles, before they went onto Rooley Lane and out of sight.
Moshin Amin and his co-accused Rexhino Arapaj and David Butlin are in court nearly two years after the operation, each facing a charge of conspiracy to possess firearms and ammunition with intent to endanger life.
The trio are accused of carrying out the offence with Mr Yaqub, 28, of Crosland Moor, who was shot by a police marksman.
