A girl was hit by a piece of roof on a busy Bradford street during strong winds yesterday (29 November).
The girl was walking with her mother along Leeds Road at around noon when she was struck by a piece of wood that fell from the roof of a takeaway.
A nearby shopkeeper, who took the girl into his shop to give her first aid, said she was lucky to have escaped without serious injury.
A police officer attended the scene to make enquiries with shop owners following the incident.
