Police in Ilkley came across an unlikely offender of the highway code.
A patrol car was forced to stop on Countances Way last night (26 February) to wake up a frosty Barn Owl, which had fallen asleep in the middle of the road.
An image of the owl was posted by West Yorkshire Police on social media, who have warned to watch out for wildlife in the adverse weather conditions.
