14 people have been arrested following daybreak raids in Rochdale.
This morning, Thursday 20 June, officers executed warrants at 11 addresses across Rochdale as part of Operation Gallant- which was set up to tackle drugs supply and the exploitation of children and adults.
The investigation is being led by Rochdale’s Organised Crime Team, supported by the Sunrise Team and Programme Challenger which is Greater Manchester’s partnership approach to tackling serious and organised crime and exploitation.
Police recovered a quantity of cash and several pieces of jewellery during the searches. A suspected stolen Ford Focus was also seized.
12 men aged between 18-42 and two women - aged 19 and 30 - were arrested on suspicion of money laundering, conspiracy to be concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, conspiracy to be concerned in the supply of Class B drugs and modern slavery.
