Nearly 8,000 kids from across Yorkshire and the Humber will take to the streets to raise awareness of the five children who are killed or injured on the region’s roads every day.
The children, aged between four and 11, are among more than 100,000 from across the UK taking part in the charity Brake’s Kids Walk event today (13 June).
The national project is helping youngsters call for key measures to make roads safer, so that more children can enjoy the health and planet-saving benefits of walking.
