A couple were threatened at knifepoint and bundled into a cupboard during a violent armed robbery in Timperley.
At 8pm on Wednesday 8 March police were called to Somerville Gardens to reports of an armed robbery.
Four masked men smashed a rear door before forcing a man to the floor, holding a knife to his face and demanding cash.
Two of the raiders then dragged the man upstairs and forced him to open a safe while a third ransacked draws and cupboards.
A fourth assailant then brought a woman downstairs from the bathroom before forcing her and the man inside a cupboard and barricaded them in with furniture.
The gang then fled the scene with cash and jewellery.
Detective Sergeant Lee Attenborough, of GMP’s Trafford division, said: “These men inflicted a shocking and terrifying ordeal on this couple and they have both been left extremely shaken. I’d urge anyone who knows anything that can help our investigation to come forward you could hold a vital piece of information.”
