There is to be a clampdown on underage drinkers by police in Halifax.
West Yorkshire Police claims there is often a spike in young people attempting to gain entry to licenced premises in the town around GCSE results day.
Any fake identification, or identification found on a person but not belonging to them, will be confiscated and returned to the relevant authority, such as the Passport Office or DVLA.
Any identification found to be fake will be disposed of.
Those who have identification confiscated will be given a receipt so that a parent or guardian may retrieve the property within 48 hours.
