Sentencing of a Bradford man who was found guilty of fraud after taking more than £300,000 meant for the care of his own family will have to be rescheduled after he failed to appear in court.
38 year old Shajad Hussain, was found guilty of five charges of fraud by abuse of position after Bradford Crown Court heard that only £56,000 could be accounted for out of the almost £370,000 he received from Bradford Council to provide care and support to his mother, brother, late father, and late brother between May 2007 and December 2013.
Hussain, of Primary Way, Undercliffe was cleared of a sixth charge for the same offence.
Hussain, who is currently in custody, failed to appear in court for sentencing reportedly due to illness.
