Emergency services were called after a car smashed into a bus shelter near a McDonald’s restaurant in Bradford city centre.
The collision happened at around 7.15pm on Sunday evening on Valley Road, close to the McDonald’s at Bradford Forster Square Retail Park.
Images from the scene showed a silver BMW facing the opposite direction to the carriageway after apparently mounting the pavement before crashing into the shelter.
The impact completely destroyed the bus shelter, leaving it collapsed and leaning over nearby hedges.
The BMW suffered significant front-end damage, with debris including glass and vehicle parts scattered across the pavement.
Police and ambulance crews attended the incident.
A nearby resident said they heard a “huge bang” before going outside to see what had happened.
No information has yet been released regarding injuries or the circumstances leading up to the crash.
