Seven Bradford taxis have been taken off the road following an operation in Heaton and Manningham.
A multi-agency operation including police, Bradford Council, and the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency deemed the taxis unfit for the road because of “serious vehicle defects”.
A variety of different vehicles were seized or taken off the road during the operation on Friday, 30 June.
Five vehicles were seized due to the drivers not having insurance or a licence. Numerous other drivers were reported for a variety of offences such as speeding, defective tyres, no MOT, and using a mobile phone whilst driving.
One driver was wanted for an offence and was subsequently arrested.
