A 23-year-old Bradford man has appeared in court following action by West Yorkshire Police’s county lines taskforce, Operation Phoenix.
A Bradford man has appeared in court charged with drug offences following the latest action by West Yorkshire Police’s dedicated county lines taskforce, Operation Phoenix.
Officers carried out a proactive operation at an address on Sawrey Place, Bradford, on 12 May, supported by the Bradford Precision Team, as part of an investigation into an identified drug dealing phone line.
Subhan Ahmed, aged 23, of Washington Street, Bradford, has been charged with:
- being concerned in the supply of heroin
- being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine
Ahmed appeared before Bradford Magistrates’ Court on 14 May, where he was remanded in custody.
He is due to next appear at Bradford Crown Court on 12 June.
West Yorkshire Police said the operation forms part of ongoing work by Operation Phoenix under the force’s Programme Precision initiative, which targets serious and organised crime, including county lines drug dealing.
