An NHS worker in Bradford has bowed out after 57 years’ service.
Shirley Hannan began her career when the NHS was still in its infancy, in 1960. She has retired as one of the longest-serving members of staff at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
A special presentation was made to the 72-year-old on her final day as assistant general manager for non-clinical support services, based at St Luke’s Hospital.
Shirley worked in various nursing roles before becoming a project manager to create a national vocational qualification for nursing staff.
