A security seminar for places of worship is being held in Bradford following recent attacks in Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
The event on Saturday morning (27 April) at the University of Bradford will bring together experts from the emergency services, Bradford Council and faith groups to pass on advice to keep worshippers and buildings safe.
The meeting will also help launch an increased government fund that groups can take advantage of to protect places of worship.
Applications for a share of the Home Office's £1.6 million Places of Worship scheme will be accepted in July. It will provide financial support for physical protective security such as fencing, lighting and CCTV.
The free seminar at the Horton Wing Barn of the University of Bradford on Richmond Road will start at 10.00am with signing in from 9.30am.
