British Cycling has developed its partnership deal with Bradford Council in a bid to inspire thousands more of the city’s residents to get on their bikes.
British Cycling first signed a partnership with Bradford Council in 2010. Since then almost 50,000 people have taken part in British Cycling recreational programmes and over 170 local Ride Leaders have been trained to take people out on guided bike rides.
The new agreement, which runs through to 2019, will see HSBC UK recreation programmes rolled out across the city including HSBC UK Guided Rides and HSBC UK Breeze rides for women.
British Cycling Partnerships Manager, Tom Mutton, presented a framed Great Britain Cycling Jersey to Bradford Council's Chief Executive, Kersten England, to commemorate the success of the partnership at City Park.
