A boy has been charged after a racially aggravated assault in Blackley.
Shortly before 7.45pm on Saturday 24 June, police were called to reports that a 13-year-old boy had been assaulted in Plant Hill Road Park.
A 12-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with racially aggravated assault, two counts of criminal damage, affray and threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.
He has been remanded in custody and made his first appearance at Manchester Youth Court this morning, 21 July.
