A woman who burgled her friend and stole his rare model railway collection has been sent to prison.
A collection, which included some rare items worth £10,000 owned by Andrew Vahter had been stolen in a burglary last May.
Catherine Petty stole the collection which Andrew had been collecting since the age of 8 and packed it into suitcases and shopping bags before travelling with Shazad Manzoor to Widnes. The pair sold the stolen property for approximately £3,700.
Catherine Petty, aged 38, of Beech Road, Bradford, pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to the burglary charge last November.
Shazad Manzoor, aged 33, of Mansfield Road, Manningham, had denied the charges of burglary and handling stolen goods but was later found guilty by a jury.
Catherine Petty was sentence to two years in prison and Shazad Manzoor was sentenced to three years in prison.
