Police are appealing for information after a man was left unconscious in the middle of a road in Shaw.
At around 12.55am on Saturday the 28th of January 2017, a 54-year-old man was walking along the bridge of Linney Lane, Oldham.
As he tried to pass a group of teenagers, they shouted aggressively at him before one of them punched him in the face.
The victim tried to run away but noticed he was being followed by his attacker who then kicked his legs, causing him to fall to the floor.
He was then kicked to his back and head, which knocked him unconscious.
He went to hospital with a three-inch cut to his arm, which required 10 stitches, a cut to his head, lip, left shoulder and knee.
Officers want to speak to a teenager who is described as white, around 16 to 17-years-old, approximately 5ft 10ins and of a slight build.
He has blonde/mousey brown hair and a thin, round face. He was wearing a light pastel-coloured jacket with a plain white t-shirt underneath and a dark-coloured pair of skinny jeans.
Anyone with any information should contact police on 101.
