Two People Taken to Hospital After House Fire in Blackburn

Two people were treated for smoke inhalation and taken to hospital after a kitchen fire at a home in Blackburn.

Two people have been taken to hospital after a fire broke out at a house in Blackburn.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service was called to a domestic property on The Crescent at around 6.10pm on Saturday 12 September.

Two fire engines from Blackburn attended the incident, where crews discovered a fire in the kitchen of the property.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze and extinguished it using one hose reel.

Two people at the property suffered from smoke inhalation and were treated at the scene by the North West Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said crews remained at the property for approximately an hour.

The fire service said: “Crews extinguished a fire in the kitchen of a domestic property using one hose reel and two breathing apparatus.

“Two casualties suffering from smoke inhalation were treated by North West Ambulance Service and conveyed to hospital.”

No further details about the condition of those taken to hospital were provided.
