Fundraisers are sending over £80,000 to a blind orphanage in Pakistan following cake sales during Ramadan.
The Bradford-based Cakes4Blind project, put together by Abdul Satar and Amjad Akram, sold chocolate fudge cakes and strawberry gateaux throughout the holy month – with deliveries reaching as far as Manchester and Middlesbrough.
The money raised is to be sent to AKAB School for the Blind and orphanage, in Mirpur, Pakistan.
