Yorkshire charities have spoken out against the government’s Race Disparity Audit.
The study, which was published yesterday, 10 October, aims to outline how race affects the experience of British citizens in society.
The charity JUST Yorkshire supports the publication but claims “the findings confirm what we have known for a long time”.
In a statement, the organisation has asked why the legislative framework of the Equality Act 2010 has failed.
The Bradford-based QED Foundation reacted by calling “for action, not equality audits” and “for immediate measures to end the social injustices suffered by minority communities”.
