Muslim Aid has launched its annual UK Winter Programmes, aiming to support thousands facing homelessness and poverty during the coldest months of the year.
Muslim Aid has launched its annual UK Winter Programmes, providing emergency support to people facing homelessness, poverty and the cost-of-living crisis.
The charity says it will support at least five-thousand people this winter across Leicester, Glasgow, Cardiff, Bradford and Luton, delivering warm clothing, food parcels, hot meals and essential supplies.
This year marks the first time the programme has expanded into Wales, with partnerships supporting people experiencing homelessness, refugees and asylum seekers.
The launch comes as weather forecasters warn of more volatile winter conditions, which charities say pose increased risks to people sleeping rough and families in fuel poverty.
Muslim Aid says its winter work aims to ensure vulnerable people are not left isolated or facing the cold alone.
