The much anticipated 2017 Tour de Yorkshire has got underway today.
Cycling fans are taking to the streets to see some of the best cyclists in the world rolling through the cities, towns and countryside of the region.
The first stage took in a 173km route from Bridlington to Scarborough, with tomorrow’s stage heading from Tadcaster to Harrogate.
The queen stage, affectionately named ‘The Yorkshire Terrier’, is the third and final day. The peloton will depart from City Park in Bradford to Fox Valley, just north of Sheffield, taking in some gruelling climbs along the way.
Expect rolling road closures along the routes and delays in Bradford city centre on Sunday morning through to the afternoon.
