An investigation has been launched after a woman was raped in Stretford.
Shortly before 9.30am on Sunday 4 February, police received a report that a woman in her 40s had been raped near to Tesco on Chester Road in Stretford at around 6.30am.
The woman was stood outside the supermarket when she was approached by a man.
He led her to a nearby bench and raped her.
The suspect is described as an Asian man, of medium build with a short beard and black hair.
The woman is receiving support from specially trained officers and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
