A woman caught on CCTV dumping rubbish from the back of a car has been fined £400 by Bradford Magistrates.
Nusrat Shan, 31, of Mill Haven Mews, Cornwall Terrace, Bradford, pleaded guilty to depositing controlled waste on the highway.
Bradford Council prosecutor Harjit Ryatt said Shan was seen on CCTV to dump five bags of rubbish on a roadside verge in Undercliffe, Bradford, in December last year.
She was a passenger in a car driven by another woman who later admitted being in charge of a vehicle used to deposit controlled waste. She agreed to pay a Penalty Charge Notice.
Shan also agreed to receive a Penalty Charge Notice but as she didn’t pay it, Council officers prosecuted. Magistrates also ordered Shan to pay £40 victim surcharge.
