A 43-year-old West Yorkshire Police officer has been charged with three counts of sexual assault relating to incidents in York city centre.
Officer to appear in court
A West Yorkshire Police officer is due to appear in court after being charged with three counts of sexual assault against women in York city centre.
PC Martin Brough, aged 43 and based within Operational Support, is accused of committing the offences while off duty in December 2024. The three charges relate to three separate victims, all aged over 16.
He is scheduled to appear before York Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 26 November 2025.
Officer suspended from duty
West Yorkshire Police confirmed that PC Brough has been suspended from duty while the criminal proceedings take place.
No further details have been released at this stage, and the force has stated that it will continue to cooperate fully with the judicial process.
