Police are appealing for witnesses after a war veteran in his nineties was robbed at his home in Wigan.
Shortly before 10pm on Thursday 12 October, the victim, a man in his nineties, was at home on Mitchell Street. He was closing the front door after saying goodbye to his friend who had just left, when the door was pushed open by a man.
He was pushed to the floor and the man then pulled the victim’s trousers, ripping them, and stole his wallet, which contained cash and his bank cards. The offender then fled.
The offender is described as about 5ft 8in tall, of medium build and was wearing dark clothing.
Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
