Two men were jailed yesterday (30.03.2017) for viciously attacking a man in his own home in Stockport.
Ryan Patton, 21, from Brinnington, pleaded guilty to burglary, robbery, false imprisonment, and assault. He was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison. Kyle Bond, 19, from North Reddish, pleaded guilty to theft, possession of a class B drug and aggravated vehicle taking. He was sentenced to five and a half years.
At 8pm on Friday 1st July 2016, the 25-year-old victim was outside McColls on Mersey Square in Stockport, when he was approached by Patton and Bond. Patton robbed the victim of £20 and Bond threatened him, before both fled. Later that evening the victim saw Patton and Bond again.
The pair threatened him and insisted that they go back to the victim’s flat. Once inside, Patton pulled out a knife and Bond tied the victim to a radiator. They then ransacked his house and stole his car.
Detective Constable Jane Dodd of GMP’s Stockport Borough, said: “This victim was subjected to a horrific and prolonged attack in his own home, which is somewhere he should feel safe. The level of violence used was abhorrent and both men are now behind bars for their actions.”
