Two men have been charged over the alleged murder of a young footballer in Moss Side.
Sait Mboob, 18, was killed following a street fight on Crosshill Road in August this year.
When officers arrived, they discovered four people had suffered stab wounds following the brawl, and they were taken to hospital. Sadly Sait, died a short time afterwards. A Home Office post mortem found the teenager had died from the stab wounds.
18 year old Lequornne Morgan of St Gregory’s Close in Ardwick and 18 year old Husam Ghazanfar of Delaheys Range in Gorton, have this week been convicted with his murder at Manchester's Minshull street Crown court.
Eleven other people arrested earlier this year on suspicion of murder are currently on bail pending further inquiries.
