Two boys have been arrested after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in Cheetham.
At around 3:20pm on Friday the 24th of March 2017, the boy was walking with friends on Oakfield Street when he was approached by a group wearing balaclavas.
The group attacked the boy and stabbed him a number of times before fleeing the scene.
The boy was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Nobody else was injured during the incident.
Two boys, both aged 16, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Both have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Detective Inspector Rob Howarth, of GMP’s City of Manchester team said: “Our investigation remains very much on-going and we are still appealing for anybody with information to come forward.”
