Officers investigating a gunpoint robbery at a shop in Trafford have made two arrests.
At around 6.15pm on Saturday the 21st January 2017 police were called to a shop on Irlam Road, Flixton, to reports of an armed robbery.
A masked man stormed into the shop and pointed a handgun at a staff members face before demanding cash and cigarettes and fleeing the scene towards Kenilworth Road on foot.
Officers launched an investigation and following the release of CCTV, a youth presented himself at Stretford Police Station.
Two youths aged 16 and 17 years were arrested on suspicion of robbery and have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Detective Constable Simon Johnson, of GMP’s Trafford Borough, said: “Our enquiries are still on-going so if anyone is holding any information that would help us, please get in touch on 101.”
