A trio of people will stand trial at Leeds Crown Court accused of defrauding the accounts of a school where they used to work.
Former principal of Kings Science Academy in Lidget Green, Sajid Hussain Raza, former finance director, Duad Khan and a former head of department, Shabana Hussain all deny a number offences between April and August 2011.
They are accused of making a series of unauthorised and unlawful payments into the personal bank accounts of Hussain Raza and Husain using a grant from the department of education.
Hussain Raza of Spring Gardens Road, Heaton is charged with abusing his position by making a series of payments into his personal bank account from a grant.
He and Khan, of Thornhill Place, Thornbury, are accused of a similar offence using money from the school’s bank account.
Hussain, of Wilmer Road, Heaton, is charged with a separate count of acquiring criminal property by money laundering.
Kings Science Academy has now been taken over and renamed as Dixons Kings Academy.
