An investigation has been launched after a teenager was stabbed in Openshaw.
At around 8.30pm yesterday evening, 30 October, police received a report that a 17-year-old boy had been stabbed multiple times in the back.
The incident took place at the traffic lights on Ashton Old Road near to the Morrison’s supermarket.
Witnesses reported a group of men got out of a van waving what appeared to be sticks or bars before fleeing the scene.
The teenager has been taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
