Police are appealing for the witness of a sexual assault in Bolton to come forward and assist them with their enquiries.
At around 10.30pm on the 25th of February 2017, a 16-year-old girl was waiting at Moor Lane Bus Station when she was approached by a man.
He briefly attempted to engage her in a conversation, offering her money if she went for a walk with him. When she refused, he started sexually assaulting her and when she tried to walk away he grabbed her by the wrists. When the victim pulled herself free of his grasp, he walked away.
The offender is described as Asian, between 40 and 50 years old, with black hair, grey stubble and a studded earring. He was wearing a blue hooded jacket, black pants and a black hat.
Constable Filipe Howard said: “We need the woman who was sitting near the incident at the time to contact us, as she is vital to this investigation. She is not in any trouble, but we do need her help. What she saw and what she heard may help us track this man down, and it is important we do so to reduce the risk of him attacking other young girls.”
Anyone with any information or who may have seen this incident is asked to contact police on 101.
