Police are appealing for information following a disturbance outside a shisha café in Rusholme.
Greater Manchester Police said shortly before 3.40am on Sunday (30 December) an altercation broke out inside the Blue Mist Shisha Café on Wilmslow Road before spilling out onto the road.
Around an hour later, officers were called to a second disturbance on Walmer Street by the junction with Wilmslow Road in Rusholme.
Both incidents are being treated as connected.
Three men – aged 26, 27 and 37 – were arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault. All three men also received hospital treatment.
Detective Constable Jonathan Barnett, of GMP’s City on Manchester division, said: “Officers have been in the area throughout the day progressing with enquiries but all road closures and cordons have since been lifted.
“We are treating these as isolated incidents and believe several men fled the area prior to officers arriving on scene at the shisha bar and we’d urge those people to come and speak to us.
“We’re keen to speak to anyone that was in the area around the time of these incidents as part of our enquiries and would ask anyone with information or any kind of video footage to please get in touch.”
