Detectives in Halifax have released an efit of someone they wish to trace in connection with a sexual assault last Monday (01/02).
The incident occurred around 5.30pm as a 15-year-old girl was walking along from Halifax along King Cross Road. As she approached the junction with Westfield Street an unknown man walked towards her and blocked her path, before sexually assaulting her. A passing member of the public caused the suspect to make off along Westfield Street.
The suspect is described as a white male, around 5"5" tall, in his mid 40’s, of skinny build with lots of wrinkles under eyes and a large nose that was pointed at bottom. He was wearing a dark grey woolly hat, grey coat with light blue sleeves and two big pockets to the front lower section.
Detective Constable Jarrod McSharry of Calderdale District Safeguarding said; "I would appeal to anyone who can identify the person in the efit to come forward to the police. I would also ask the public to think back if they were in the area last Monday evening and may have seen the suspect before or after the incident and if they have any information to come forward. Enquiries are on-going."
